About Me
I am a multimedia journalist with experience covering a wide-range of topics — everything from city budgets to the natural history of prescribed burns. I enjoy writing about the environment, creating short informational videos and using data to strengthen my reporting.
Work Experience
The Times of Northwest Indiana Municipal Government/ Environmental Reporter November 2021-Present

Writes an average of 10 articles per week. Both long-form and breaking news pieces.

Reports on municipal government for four cities and three towns. Also covers the environmental beat; reporting on issues of environmental justice and NWI’s unique ecology.

Was the lead reporter for the “What’s Killing the Region” series. Sifted through CDC data to determine the top causes of death in NWI over the past 22 years. Wrote four stories and contributed to three others.

Has shot and edited over 100 short-form videos to accompany stories. Often shoots accompanying photos as well.
